We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Electrical Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and performance of equipment within our spinning department, including the production of cylinder, COPV (Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessel), and tube products. This role will work closely with operators, engineers, and production leadership to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and supporting production schedules.
The Electrical Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, assist with equipment setups, and support production activities as needed. This position also plays a key role in identifying and resolving equipment issues to maintain product quality and minimize downtime.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and has a strong electrical background, with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and precision are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems on spinning and production equipment
- Support production of cylinder, COPV, and tube products within the spinning department
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including motors, controls, and circuits up to 480V
- Assist with machine setups, tooling preparation, and equipment changeovers
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and communicate findings to supervision and engineering
- Work with PLCs, motor controls, temperature controls, and other industrial electrical components
- Support installation, testing, and startup of new equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems as needed
- Document maintenance activities, inspection results, and production data
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Strong electrical troubleshooting background in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with 480V, 3-phase electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience using digital multimeters and other diagnostic tools
- Familiarity with PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation systems
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to support production equipment
- Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5+ years of experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Technical training or certifications in electrical or industrial maintenance preferred

- Pay Range: $28.00 – $40.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Hours & Schedule
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (8-hour shift)
- Expected Hours: 40 hours per week (plus overtime as needed)
