Aerospace/Wheel Machinist (Lathe, Mill, Conventional, Wheel Setup)

We are currently hiring for multiple Machinist positions across several departments, with a focus on high-mix, low-volume aerospace and wheel production. This posting covers four distinct roles, each with unique responsibilities and required skill sets. Candidates should apply based on their primary area of expertise.

  1. CNC Lathe Machinist
  2. CNC Mill Machinist
  3. Conventional Lathe Machinist
  4. Wheel Setup Machinist

All roles are hands-on positions that require strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of machining principles. Candidates must be motivated, reliable, and able to work in a team environment.

1. CNC Lathe Machinist

Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC lathes
• Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T
• Perform offsets, edits, and minor program changes
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
• Ensure parts meet tight aerospace tolerances and surface finish standards
Qualifications
• 3+ years of CNC lathe experience preferred
• Familiarity with aerospace and automotive materials and tooling best practices

2. CNC Mill Machinist

Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines
• Load programs, adjust speeds/feeds, and perform in-process inspections
• Change and set tooling as required for various materials
• Maintain tight tolerances on complex components
Qualifications
• 3+ years of CNC milling experience preferred
• Experience with tight tolerance components and short-run jobs a plus

3. Conventional Lathe Machinist

Key Responsibilities
• Operate large manual lathes for turning operations
• Machine tooling and components used in forging and forming operations
• Work with engineers and machinists to develop effective processes
• Read engineering prints and machine to specified tolerances
Qualifications
• 5+ years of conventional machining experience required
• Skilled with large parts, steel alloys, and custom tooling applications

4. Wheel Setup Machinist

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and assemble tooling for wheel machining jobs
• Set up and align fixtures, part programs, and cutting tools
• Work closely with programmers and engineers to streamline setup processes
• Track tooling usage, part performance, and improve job flow
Qualifications
• Machining experience with wheels or high-precision components preferred
• Understanding of CNC operations

General Requirements (All Roles)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Proficient in blueprint reading and use of measuring tools
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-oriented mindset
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed

Job Type & Pay

• Job Type: Full-Time, on-site
• Pay Range: $25 – $42 per hour (based on experience, area of expertise, and machine proficiency) — Multiple shifts available (1st and 2nd shift)

Hours & Schedule

• Monday – Friday (with occasional Saturday availability)
• Shift hours vary by department; overtime available based on production needs
