Forklift Operator

We are seeking a Forklift Operator to support daily material handling, loading, and warehouse operations across our manufacturing facilities. This role is essential for ensuring that raw materials, tools, and finished products are moved safely and efficiently to support production flow. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various forklift sizes, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to assist with general warehouse and logistics tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts ranging from 3,500 to 35,000 lbs. capacity to transport materials, tools, and products.
  • Relocate in-process parts, raw material, tooling, and finished goods throughout the facility using pallets, chains, or lifting straps.
  • Assist machinists in loading and unloading parts onto CNC lathes and mills.
  • Transport goods between buildings or facilities using a company flatbed truck, including proper loading, unloading, and securing of materials.
  • Organize and put away inactive materials and tools on heavy-duty shelving.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Assist with general warehouse operations, including inventory movement, staging, and cleanup.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, traffic rules, and workplace protocols.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid forklift operator certification required.
  • 1+ year of experience in a forklift or material handling role, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to operate multiple forklift types and capacities, including high-capacity lifts.
  • Familiarity with industrial material handling, load balancing, and secure transport practices.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 75 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Strong awareness of safety practices and equipment limits.
  • Basic communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with warehouse inventory systems or basic computer use is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred for flatbed truck operation.

Job Type & Pay

  • Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
  • Pay Range: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Hours & Schedule

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday (8-hour shift)
  • Expected Hours: 40 hours per week (plus overtime as needed)
