Machine Operator – Waterjet & Saw

Position Overview

We are seeking a Machine Operator to run waterjet and saw machines in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining these machines while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machine controls and working with metal processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate waterjet and saw machines to process materials according to specifications.
  • Use CNC machine controls to adjust settings, monitor operations, and ensure accuracy.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
  • Monitor machine performance and perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting as needed.
  • Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and positioning for cutting or machining.
  • Document production data and machine settings for consistency and process improvement.
  • Program and adjust machine settings for waterjet and saw operations to optimize cutting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience operating waterjet, heat treat, or saw machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with CNC machine controls and adjustments.
  • Experience with programming and editing CNC machine controls for waterjet and saw operations is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and machine programming.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.

Job Type & Pay

  • Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
  • Pay Range: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Hours & Schedule

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday (8-hour shift)
  • Expected Hours: 40 hours per week (plus overtime as needed)
