Advanced Structural Technologies, Inc. in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, or enhance manufacturing systems and related processes. They will also collaborate with commercial or industrial designers to optimize product designs, aiming to boost production efficiency and reduce costs.
Job responsibilities and duties include:
- Develop and optimize designs in 3D CAD software with associated CAE tools.
- Assist in research of new equipment, systems, and processes to advance plant operations. Actively participate in the process through installation and until the machinery is put into
production. - Create preventive maintenance reports for all the tools and equipment used in the facility.
- Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
- Design and implement material handling systems to support the Forging and Spin Department.
- Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards.
This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or any related Engineering field of study, plus at least five (5) years of progressively responsible, post-degree experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.
Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:
- Solidworks
- Mastercam
- CNC Programming (5-axis Mills, 3-axis Mills, Horizontal Mills, Lathes)
- VERICUT validation tool
- Modeling, Manufacturing, and Assembly
- Two or more of the following controllers: Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain
