Metal Spinning Engineering and Lead Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Spinning Engineering and Lead Technician to oversee and lead a team of spin operators and setup technicians. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing, with a strong background in CNC and spin machine operation. This individual must possess leadership skills to manage production workflows, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards. The role requires close collaboration with management and other departments to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of spin operators and setup technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
  • Program CNC spin machines as needed to optimize production.
  • Set up and operate CNC spin machines to produce high-quality forged wheels and components.
  • Work closely with management to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all production activities adhere to quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of machine settings, production reports, and quality checks.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, and Shop Management to ensure conformance with specifications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, particularly in CNC Lathe and spin machine operations.
  • Strong math skills and mental math capabilities. 
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Job Type & Pay

  • Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
  • Pay Range: $32.00 – $46.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Hours & Schedule

  • Schedule: Day shift: 7 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday (8-hour shift)
  • Expected Hours: 40 hours per week (plus overtime)
