Quality Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Technician to inspect and evaluate manufactured components, ensuring they meet customer specifications and industry standards. This role will work closely with production teams, engineers, and quality personnel to maintain compliance, improve processes, and support continuous quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical inspection, blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement techniques within a manufacturing or machine shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and evaluate manufactured components using precision measuring instruments.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and tolerances to ensure accuracy in production.
  • Work closely with production operators to verify parts remain within tolerance during manufacturing.
  • Identify quality issues and assist in corrective action processes to prevent defects.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and equipment.
  • Support internal audits, material review board (MRB) processes, and quality system compliance.
  • Assist in maintaining ISO and quality management system (QMS) certifications.
  • Communicate findings and collaborate with engineers and production teams on process improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality inspection or a related role in manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
  • Experience with calibration techniques and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.).
  • Ability to identify quality defects and support corrective action processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, QMS, and internal auditing is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.

Job Type & Pay

  • Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
  • Pay Range: $24.00 – $34.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Hours & Schedule

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday (8-hour shift)
  • Expected Hours: 40 hours per week (plus overtime as needed)
